28th april 2009
today we went to costa to do our research on ( screen reels)
We went to a few places around Orpington that use screen reels
I went to the post office, boots and the Sony shop.
we had to write
Where it is?
Whos ois it aimed at?
What does it show?
Does it have sound?
What health and saftey issuses might need to be adressed?
After we had done this we went back to Costa to meet V and had break before next class.
Then we had to go round the college to see the screen reels around college and go to Marketing Department to ask if we could use there tv to show our screen reel.

Today I have started on a project activity log so that when I come back from my work experience I no what I have to and how long i got to do it. When I get back I have to upload my footage onto the apple mac and start to edit it all to put it together so it flows nicely. once I have done this I want to choose a song that goes with the footage to go over the top of the footage and that will be my trailer complete.

Today I had a talk with Amanda to find out ways to get to my work experience placement in London. We used TFL website for this and printed of a map and a route I would have to take to get there. I also spoke to Orouje Tamimi. The woman who will be looking after me on my placement and we had a talk on what sort of jobs I would be doing and what sort of cloths I should were. The clothes are casual so I don’t have to be too smart. And the job she said I would be doing is following her and interviewing and writing articles and maybe seeing the photographer

On Friday we got all the equipment ready and went down to Whitstable and stayed there for the weekend. That is where we got most of the filming done. We started filming outside the train station and also filmed some footage on the beach later that evening. All we have to left to do is a little bit more filming in a train station and Jack running away.
When we have done that I will have to upload it to a Apple Mac computer so I can edit it put it all together cut and layering and add any audio if needed I shall be getting the rest of the filming done this week and editing as soon as I can

After going through the story we now have and rehearsing it last night I have now realised that it is more of a thriller than a horror.
I now have a bibliography telling you a few online sites that have acting auditions and opportunities. I also have to start my storyboarding today as we filming later tonight and over the weekend. If we had more time I think I might have liked to edit it to make the movie trailer more towards a horror as that was my intended idea

bin a while

I am now on my new project and am making a horror movie. I am enjoying it. Originally I was going to be doing a music video but I changed my mind because some of the girls in my class are now doing a music video. I have the help of a good friend who studies film to help me. We now together have a good story plot and are going to film on Friday night and Saturday at Whitstable which then gives me a week to edit and finish it.
I also had a few other ideas before choosing to do the horror movie
I was going to do
· A typical student day
· A game show similar to Gladiators
· Tutorial on how to make a music video and your own music
· Me dancing for a music video

I think I have chosen the write idea to work on as I am enjoying doing this and am coming up with some good ideas

5th febuary

Monday and Tuesday college was closed due to bad weather.
Today I did a spider diagram on a few ideas that I had so it would make it easier for me to choose which one to do for my project.
I have chosen to make a music video. What I have to do is make auditions for college bands or groups so that I can make a video for them.
What I have to do now is make sure I can send out emails to all students and make a date and place to audition.

friday 30th jan

today we downloaded all the material that we had gained yesterday at South- Eatern. We got some good voice recordings and pictures.
In Vebeke lesson she had us doing dreamweaver showing us how to incert flash buttons and link them to new pages.

29th January

Today we went back up to South Eastern. I had made release forms so that we could do any recording that was needed. Cat, Reece and myself interviewed members of staff and got a few pictures. After we had done that Maria and I went to a pre aranged class that was having a lesson and did a few minutes of filimg and pictures in the lesson.

thursday 22nd jan

Today I arrived at 8:30 to get some work done for the trip to South Eastern training centre. I made about 6 questions to ask to couple of different members of staff. I also took a merantz with me to record anything that they said so I did not miss anything. We were supposed to have been filming today at that training centre, as we did not have release slips they did not let us film in case somebody wanted to sue because we did not have permission. I will have to rearrange for the class to go back up there sometime next week with the slips and do some more filming and voice rercording.

Tuesday 20th Jan

Today we started on a production plan for Thursday when we go to South-Eastern. We have had to come up with more questions to interview the staff. We now have permission to film in the simulator aswell. We also made a link to our websites that we are creating, we did this by using Dream Weaver and adding a picture, table and linked it to content folder. We did a print page as we were doing this to show work in progress.

friday 16th jan

We have started the Media Production segment and we have all been taking notes. Today we had to use those notes and use them in making a Power Point presentation on everything that we have learnt so far. The first lesson we had did not go quiet to plan, as we did not have the lesson brief we did not do what we had to do correctly.

wednesday 14th jan

We had a group production meeting. It started well and we discussed our job roles. The meeting did not last long as not all of the group members turned up. The members that were there became distracted and did not contribute much.

Tuesday 13th Jan

Today we had a lesson on how to set up our own website, to make the website we are doing for South-Eastern. We had to make a folder and save it as content and save it in my documents folder. Then we had to open up note pad and type in the html code and save that in the same place as content but not in the folder. Importing text showing how it looks on web interfaced e.g your name and information about yourself.

Monday 12th Jan

Photography we had to make sure we had finished everything up to date and printed. We also started the next segment. In this segment we have to do a few pictures that we feel relate to our self and make a power point presentation with description on why we chose these thing that represent and or relate to us in any way of or form.

tuesday 13th jan
today we had maths and we all feel that we need to talk to the maths teacher because no one likes her.
In Vebeke's lesson we watched a movie called (spell it out) it was about how to act towards homophobia and how the teachers should act and help you I fell that as a class that was a help full DVD to watch and hope that the class pupils take it into consideration.
and the lesson after she explained to us about coding websites and web browsers for example internet explorer and firefox and html. we have just started making our own.

Friday 9th jan

Today we wrote down some of the job roles that are need to make a website and some roles that we think we might have to do. We also looked at a website of our chose that we like and had to write in detail about that website with questions like
Why do you like this website?
Why does it stand out from others?
What sort of people would use this website? ect ...

Thurs 8th jan

Tim McCarthy came in to help and give us information about the South eastern company so that we can make a website for him. As a class we came up with a load of questions to ask him about what he would like us to put on the website. We each have certain job roles not chosen yet so we each do our bit for the website and we have to include everything from job roles in the south-eastern company to how long it takes to train and work for them.

weds 7th jan

today we carried on from the good bad and ugly websites and finished of any outstanding work that we had left and as a class looked at some bad website that Vebeke had putt to on oc live.

tuesday the 6th jan

we had to look for 3 different websites. we had to find a good website and bad and a ugly website.
When we had found one we had to write about it saying why we think it is bad and wot is the purpose of the website and the sort of people who would be using that website.
